Mildred A. Pecoraro, 90, of Bethany Beach, Del., formerly of Silver Spring, Md., passed away on Tuesday, Dec. 26, 2017, at Beebe Healthcare in Lewes, Del. She was born on Nov. 28, 1927, in Keansburg, N.J., daughter of the late Carmine and Mary Pacelli.

Pecoraro had worked as a secretary with the NRC and was also a crossing guard before her retirement. She was so known for her outgoing and loving personality that she was given the nickname “Bubbles.” She was a member of the Red Hat Society, volunteered at the CHEER Center and also enjoyed bowling. She faithfully attended St. Ann Catholic Church, and loved going to the beach and spending time with her family.

In addition to her parents, Pecoraro was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph J. Pecoraro, in 2012. She is survived by a son, Joseph A. Pecoraro of Gaithersburg, Md.; a daughter, Joann Pecoraro of Pauley, S.C.; and three grandchildren, Danielle, Olivia and Blake Pecoraro, all of Maryland.

A Mass of Christian Burial was scheduled for Jan. 3, 2018, at St. Ann Catholic Church in Bethany Beach, Del., with interment at Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Millsboro, Del.
