Indian River senior pitcher Fabian McCray held Sussex Central to just one run in six innings during the team’s 7-1 romp over the Golden Knights on Monday, April 9, recording the third straight win for the Indians. McCray threw 95 pitches in the victory, days after closing the Indians’ 7-4 win over Cambridge-South Dorchester High.

Keiosha Shelton

Junior Keiosha Shelton has been a force on the track, marking wins all season long. Despite the Lady Indians’ shortfall against Smyrna earlier this month, Shelton placed first in the girls’ 100-meter dash, in 12.1 seconds, and the 200-meter dash, in 25.7 seconds, and also anchored the girls’ 400-meter and 800-meter relay teams to first-place finishes, clocking in at 52.6 seconds and 1:50.3, respectively.
