Junior lacrosse goalkeeper Kevin Apgar made six saves for Indian River as they defeated Sussex Central on Tuesday for the second time this season, improving their season record to 6-1. The 12-0 victory was Apgar’s second shutout of the year, as he averages 6.24 saves per game. In their seven games, Indian River has outscored opponents 64-17, a statistic that Apgar attributed to the team’s offensive time of possession, as well.'

The Lady Indians’ second-doubles tennis team of sophomores Ashlyn Calhoun and Alyssa McManus picked up a 6-1, 6-0 win over their Polytech rivals this past Tuesday, helping Indian River along to their second victory over the Panthers and a 9-3 team record on the year. Calhoun and McManus have won 10 of their 12 matches this season.
