Rev. Carl L. Jackson
The Rev. Carl Lee Jackson passed away on the morning of March 16, 2012, after the “Big Chief’s” valiant battle with cancer.
Jackson, fourth child of Edna Clark Jackson and Emery Isaac Jackson, was preceded in death by his brothers, Winfield and Emery Jackson, and sisters, Kathleen Wright and Clarice Tomasso. He was survived by his loving wife of nearly 22 years, Beverly Ann Jackson; his natural daughters, Donna Maria Jackson Tucker, Shari-Yvette Jackson Small and her husband, John H. Small, and KoKita Valynnte Jackson and her husband, Michael Chambers; daughters gained in marriage, Valorie Sherette Handy and her husband, Belarus Lee Handy, and Vicky Lovette Norwood and her husband, Monty Jackson; his sisters, Minerva Street, Vera Constance Morris and Joan Jacqueline Martin and her husband, Marvin Martin; his brother, Isaac Evan Jackson; and many friends, relatives and associates.
A wake was scheduled in Thursday, March 22, 2012, from 6 to 8 p.m. at St. John’s 2nd Baptist Church, 26602 Mt. Joy Road in Millsboro, Del. A funeral was scheduled for Friday, March 23, 2012, at 10 a.m. at St. John’s, to be followed by interment at the Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Millsboro. Arrangements were by Watson Funeral Home.
