Sandra Carbonaro Malone Parisi, 90

Sandra Carbonaro Malone Parisi, 90, of Ocean View, Del., passed away Saturday, May 19, 2012, at the Brandywine Nursing Home in Rehoboth Beach, Del.

Born in 1921 in Washington, D.C., she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Josephine Carbonaro, who arrived in the United States from Sicily.

Parisi married her first husband, the late Alfred Malone, in 1947. They were married 20 years and lived in Capital Heights until his death. In 1990, Sandra married her second husband, the late John Parisi, and they lived in Capital Heights for several years before retiring to Ocean View in 1997. She was also preceded in death by four siblings: Alfred, Mary, Margaret and Jimmy.

Parisi was well-known in Washington, D.C., for her delicious pizzas as co-owner of Marletta’s Pizza for many years. She was very talented, being able to play the piano by ear. Parisi is remembered for being extremely devoted to her family and loving to cook for
