Shockley Town Road closed for cross-road pipe replacement

The Department of Transportation (DelDOT) this week announced the closure of Shockley Town Road between Frankford School Road and Route 20/Pyle Center Road near Frankford for the replacement of a crossroad pipe. The road was to be closed at 7 a.m. on Monday, July 26, and to reopen on or before 3 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 6, pending weather.

Access to local residents and emergency response vehicles will be provided at all times, officials said.

Traffic will be detoured as follows:

• Northbound: Shockley Town Road to Frankford School Road onto Omar Road to Route 20 and back to Shockley Town Road.

• Southbound: Shockley Town Road to Route 20 onto Omar Road to Frankford School Road and back to Shockley Town Road
