South Coastal Library’s Teen Love Poem Contest winners announced

Prizes were recently awarded to the local teens for writing, designing and decorating an original love poem as if it appeared on a greeting card.

Winners received a journal with a commemorative bookplate. The first-place winner also received a $50 Tanger Outlet gift card, and the second-place winner received a $25 Tanger Outlet gift card.

First prize went to “A Heart to Heart” by 18-year-old Indian River High School student Taylor Reeves. Second prize was awarded to “Love” by 16-year-old Indian River High School student Yohana Turcios. Third prize went to “Writer’s Inspiration” by 14-year-old Millsboro Middle School student Michaela Anderson.

This eighth annual contest was sponsored by the South Coastal Library, with prizes provided by the Friends of the South Coastal Library. Congratulations to all who participated.
