Town of Fenwick Island - Solicitation for Insurance Bids

Notice of Request for Bids

The Town of Fenwick Island is seeking sealed bids and qualification statements, from firms/providers interested in providing any one coverage or combination of coverages for the following municipal insurance options from December 1, 2017 – November 30, 2018:

(1) Property and Casualty Insurance;
(2) Public Officials Liability and Police Liability

Interested respondents must submit their sealed bids, along with their qualification statements, by 2:00 pm on November 20, 2017 at the Fenwick Island Town Hall Office, 800 Coastal Highway, Fenwick Island, DE 19944. Documentation submitted must include a statement concerning the degree to which assistance shall be provided by the respondent to the Town in completing all documentation required by carriers for applications.

Submittals must also include the names of proposed carriers from which quotes are intended to be sought. The Town reserves the right to approve and assign carriers to the various respondents by providing broker of record letters.

Submittals provided after the deadline will not be considered.

The intended result of this process is for the Town to select one or more providers whose primary task will be to secure insurance premium quotes from insurance carriers for the lines of insurance listed above.

The Town reserves the right to reject any and all qualifications to waive technical defects in the qualifications and to select the qualifications deem most advantageous to the Town. Any questions should be emailed to the Town Manager, Teresa Tieman at townmgr@fenwickisland.org. The Town will compile all questions and send responses to all bidders.
