Traffic stop yields quantity of Oxycodone

Selbyville police recently arrested two local residents in connection with possession of a large quantity of Oxycodone pills.

Police reported that on Friday, Feb. 11, about 9:41 p.m., the Selbyville Police Department had conducted a traffic stop on a suspicious vehicle as it pulled into the parking lot of the Selbyville McDonald’s. They said the operator of the vehicle was found not to have a valid license, and the passenger was found to have an active warrant from the Court of Common Pleas for traffic violations.

After receiving consent to search the vehicle, officers said, they discovered a large quantity of 30 mg Oxycodone pills.

As a result of the incident, Teresa Masarone, 46, of Frankford was arrested for Possession with Intent to Deliver a Controlled Substance, Maintaining a Vehicle for the Keeping of a Controlled Substance and Driving with a Suspended License. She was later released from the Justice of the Peace Court on a $3,500 secured bond, pending appearance in the Court of Common Pleas.
Markis Leonard, 24, of Selbyville was arrested for Possession with Intent to Deliver a Controlled Substance and on the Capias Charge from Court of Common Pleas. He was given a $2,000 unsecure bond on the new charges but was committed to the Sussex Correctional Institute on the pending court charges, police said.
