Warren Andrew Mosner Jr., 86

Warren Andrew Mosner Jr., 86, of Milford, Del., formerly of Lewes, Del., passed away peacefully on Friday, June 8, 2012, at Delaware Veterans Home in Milford.

Mosner was born July 22, 1925, in Franklin, N.J. He was a machine inspector for Picatinny Arsenal in Dover, N.J., for more than 30 years. He was a founding member of Allamuchy-Green First Aid Squad in N.J. and was a longtime member of the Andover Twp. Volunteer Fire Department.

After retiring to Lewes in 1978, Mosner was a member of American Legion Post #28 in Oak Orchard, Del., and a member of a multitude of other social lodges in the area. He enjoyed woodworking and had a woodworking shop at his home. Many of his family and friends have examples of his handiwork.
Mosner was preceded in death by his parents, Warren A. Mosner Sr., and Natalie (Romyns) Mosner; one son, Robert Mosner, in 1974; and two brothers, Charles and David Mosner. He is survived by three sons: Steve Mosner and his wife, Emma, of Bangor, Pa., Jerry Mosner and his wife, Diane, of Easton, Pa., and Jim Mosner and his wife, Robyn, of Leander, Texas; three daughters: Janet Rush and her husband, Chuck, of Bridgeville, Del., Barbara Brodt and her husband, Roland, of Easton, Pa., and Mary Matino and her husband, Carmen, of Lewes; 13 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and one sister, Carol Youngman of Newton, N.J.

A graveside service with full military honors was scheduled for June 13, 2012, at St. Peter’s Cemetery on Pilottown Road in Lewes, Del. Arrangements were by Parsell Funeral Homes & Crematorium in Bridgeville, through which condolences may be sent online at www.parsellfuneralhomes.com.
