No exception for Sea Villas driveways
Residents of the Sea Villas in Bethany Beach may have some adjustments to make in their parking practices. Members of the town’s Planning Commission voted Saturday, April 16, that the properties are not due any sort of exception from the 20-foot driveway width restriction imposed on the rest of the town.
Waiting-area bars allowed to continue
At its April 15 meeting, the Bethany Beach Town Council voted 5-2 to extend a provision allowing the operation of “waiting-area bars” at restaurants in the town. The contentious discussion focused on a 16-seat bar area at Bethany Blues.
South Bethany election
Once again, the town of South Bethany has attracted enough civic-minded citizens to have an election. It will be a best three-out-of-four race again this year, with Council Member Lloyd Hughes stepping down after more than 12 years.
Bethany grants exception due to flooding
