The Agenda
• The Fenwick Island Beautification Committee will meet Monday, May 2, at 10 a.m. at the town hall.
• The Selbyville Town Council will meet Monday, May 2, at 7 p.m.
• Bethany Beach will hold a special meeting Friday, May 20, at 2 p.m., to fill the town council seat vacated by Robert Degen, effective May 1. Those interested in serving the remainder of Degen’s term (expiring September 2006) must submit an application to the town manager’s office by 4 p.m. on Wednesday, May 18. Candidates must be at least 21 years old and otherwise qualified to vote in annual town elections.
Once the applications have been submitted, they will be considered by the remaining members of the town council, who will elect the replacement at a special meeting May 20.

Ocean View
Tuesday, May 3 Town Council meeting, 7 p.m., newly-renovated Town Hall (32 West Avenue).
Council will hold three public hearings second readings. If council members choose not to defer or table, all three zoning ordinances will be either adopted or defeated at the May 3 meeting.
• An ordinance prohibiting multifamily dwellings and townhouses in subdivisions, except in District 1 (Route 26 corridor).
• An ordinance adding public and private schools to the list of permitted uses in the general business (GB) district.
• An ordinance providing for the enforcement of handicapped sign regulations.
In other business, discussion regarding the deed transferring land from Carl Freeman Communities, and discussion regarding the possible purchase of an SUV, both for the police station.
Frankford
Monday, May 2 Town Council meeting, 7 p.m., Town Hall (5 Main Street).
There will be an update on progress at the town’s central water plant, and the Comprehensive Land Use Plan.
In new business, council will review Charles Adams’ application for subdivision at 37 Frankford Ave. Adams said he hoped to split his land into a roughly 17,000 square foot parcel (where his house rests presently), and another roughly 15,000 square foot parcel.
