Bethany Beach
• The annual summer entertainment series hosted by Bethany Beach will feature the Tim Laushey Orchestra on Friday, July 8, at 7:30 p.m. at the boardwalk bandstand. ShowStoppers Dancers will perform Saturday, July 9, at 7:30 p.m. Generations will perform music from the ’40s to the ’80s on Sunday, July 10, at 7:30 p.m. Visual comedian Pete Geist will perform at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, July 13.

• The Bethany Beach Cultural and Historical Affairs Committee (CHAC) will meet Monday, July 11, at 1 p.m. at the town hall. The meeting will feature an update on historical preservation efforts and discussion of artifact display in the town museum.
• The Bethany Beach Town Council will meet Friday, July 15, at 7:30 p.m. at the town hall.
• The Bethany Beach Planning Commission will meet Saturday, July 16, at 9 a.m. at the town hall. Items on the agenda for the meeting include: consideration of the application for a planned residential development (PRD) filed by Mark and Kiki Zachary for property at 877 Garfield Parkway, in the R-2 zoning district; and consideration of the application for a planned residential development (PRD) filed by H. Meredith Palmer, for property at 816 Garfield Parkway, also in the R-2 zoning district.
South Bethany
• South Bethany Town Council will hold its regularly monthly meeting at 7 p.m. on Friday, July 8, in the town hall. Mr. John Hoenen, vice president of Grotto Pizza, is slated to speak to council and assembled guests about video games at the York Beach Mall, and council members will schedule a public hearing regarding an estimated $970,000 capital project a new police station, and either renovations to, or replacement of, town hall.
Frankford
• Frankford Town Council will hold its regularly monthly meeting at 7 p.m. on Monday, July 11, in the town hall.
Indian River School District (IRSD)
• The IRSD Building and Grounds Committee will meet at 7 p.m. on Monday, July 11, at the new Sussex Central Senior High School.
Selbyville
• Selbyville’s monthly town council meeting will be held Monday, July 11, at 7 p.m. It was postponed from July 4, due to the Independence Day holiday.
Sussex County Planning & Zoning Commission
• The Sussex County Planning & Zoning Commission will meet at 7 p.m. on Thursday, July 14, in the County Council Chambers of the County Administrative Office Building in Georgetown.
Items on the agenda for the meeting include:
o Repeat consideration of a conditional use (public hearings are closed) for Canal Place LLC for multi-family dwelling structures (87 units) to be located in the general residential district on 14.6 acres west of Cedar Neck Road (Road 357), across from Fred Hudson Road (Road 360), and east of White’s Creek (currently Lynn Lee Village);
o A public hearing regarding a subdivision application by S. K. Pepper Creek LLC for land in an AR-1 agricultural residential district, dividing 65.39 acres into 125 lots in the Environmentally Sensitive Development District Overlay Zone, located south of Road 336 (Piney Neck Road), east of Road 335A and north of Pepper Creek; and
o Consideration of a site plan for the conditional use granted at Sandy Cove Townhouse Community on Road 358.
