Sussex County Council took another baby step toward a moderately-priced housing program at a public workshop on July 26.

The Fenwick Island Town Council voted 5-2 in favor of a resolution Friday to allow alfresco jazz concerts on Tuesdays and Thursdays through Aug. 25 at the Village of Fenwick.
Dagsboro adopts new road width standards
The Dagsboro Town Council adopted a packet of graduated road-width specifications at the July 25 council meeting. Developers had previously designed streets based on a set standard 34 feet wide from curb to curb, on 50-foot rights-of-way.

At a special meeting Monday, July 25, the Bethany Beach Town Council voted on development recommendations for the former Christian Church and Neff properties acquired by the town in the last year.

Psychotherapist opens for business
After 20 years of practicing as both a psychotherapist and a life coach in Baltimore and Chevy Chase, Md., nationally known psychologist Dr. Michael Hurd, has recently relocated to Bethany Beach to continue his practice. (Hurd still sees his remaining Chevy Chase patients one day each week.)
