Sussex County

• Sussex County Council will meet on Tuesday, Oct. 11 at 6:30 p.m., at the County Administrative Building (2 The Circle, Georgetown). On the agenda, a Sussex Conservation District grant and proposed leases for hangar sites at the Sussex County Airport, followed by a 7 p.m. public hearing for “an ordinance to adopt Chapter 72 of the Code of Sussex County relating to moderately priced housing units.” Finance Director David Baker is slated to report from the Pension Committee on investment returns, the actuaries’ report and mortgage bond proceeds, and introduce an amendment relating to the computation of benefits. Ocean View and Frankford are on the list for grant requests — $2,500 to help research and document a potential Ocean View National Register Historic District and $500 to the Frankford Community Group, for Neighborhood Watch signs. The Lower Delaware Autism Foundation (LDAF) also appears on the list, asking $1,200 for a fundraiser.

South Bethany

• South Bethany Town Council will meet on Friday, Oct. 14, at 7 p.m., at town hall (402 Evergreen Rd.).

Ocean View

• The Ocean View Planning and Zoning (P&Z) Commission will meet on Thursday, Oct. 20, at 7 p.m., at town hall, 32 West Ave. The commission will review an ordinance “relating to conformity of Residential uses in the General Business (GB) district,” (part of its continuing efforts to establish a set of design standards for the Route 26 corridor) and seven site plans.

o Ralph Picard, nine townhomes on 1.9 acres at 32 Atlantic Ave — continuation of preliminary review.

o George Keen for the Dorothy V. Evans estate, four lots on 2 acres at 2 Central Ave. — continuation of subdivision and preliminary review.

o Larry Sawyer for James Kyger, two office buildings (housing up to three businesses) at 2 and 4 Town Rd. — final site plan review.

o Larry Saywer for John Roberts, a fitness center at 15 Atlantic Ave (but actually sharing an entrance on Town Road with the Kyger project) — final site plan review.

o Rupert Smith, 11 townhouses and two single-family homes on Woodland Avenue — final site plan review.

o Miranda and Hardt for Gysm LLC, an 8- by 10-foot refrigerated storage unit at 111 Atlantic Ave — site plan review.

o Design Consultants Group for Long Neck Medical Enterprises, a building at 72 Atlantic Ave. — preliminary review.

Sussex County Planning & Zoning Commission

• The Sussex County Planning & Zoning Commission will meet on Thursday, Oct. 13, at 6 p.m., at the County Administrative Building (2 The Circle, Georgetown). The agenda includes:

o Continued consideration of the application of Gregory and Patricia White to consider the conditional use of land in a Medium Density Residential District for multifamily dwelling structures (originally six units, now four) to be located on 40,702 square feet, southwest of Route 26, north of Route 54 and Road 365 at St. George’s Church.
