Bethany Beach

The Bethany Beach Budget and Finance Committee mid-year meeting originally set for Friday, Oct. 28, has been cancelled. The committee will meet on Friday, Nov. 4, at 1 p.m. at the town hall. That meeting will feature a year-to-date review of the budget for the current budget, for the 2006 fiscal year.

Sussex County

Sussex County Council will meet on Tuesday, Nov. 1, at 10 a.m. in the Council Chambers at the Sussex County Administrative Office Building in Georgetown.

Sussex County Planning and Zoning

The Sussex County Planning and Zoning Commission will meet Thursday, Nov. 3, at 7 p.m. in the County Council Chambers of the County Administrative Office Building in Georgetown.

Ocean View

Ocean View Town Council will meet on Tuesday, Nov. 1 at 7 p.m., at town hall. Council will hold six public hearings to start the meeting, on ordinances to:

• Annex Regina O’Rourke’s 1.1 acre property into the town (second reading);

• Suspend requirements for award of contracts less than $22,500 during a state of emergency (second reading);

• Require subdivision applicants to submit site plans to the town by the fifteenth day in the month prior to the month in which the town’s Planning and Zoning (P&Z) commission will schedule the meeting (second reading);

• Approve a conditional use for a wine and spirits business in Bear Trap (24 Village Green Drive) (first reading);

• Align General Business (GB) and residential zoning districts, in regards district bulk and height requirements (first reading);

Also on the agenda, requests: 1) from the Sussex Community Swim Team and 2) to extend the waterline for a projected building at 96 Atlantic Ave.

Under old business, discussion and consideration of: 1) appointment of new members to the Long-Range Financial Planning Committee and 2) an ordinance to change speed limits within certain subdivisions

And under new business, establishment of a date for Carols in the Park.

Frankford

Frankford Town Council will meet on Monday, Nov. 7, at 7 p.m., at town hall.

Fenwick Island

The Fenwick Island Town Council will hold its October meet on Friday, Oct. 28, at 3:30 p.m. in the town hall.
