The Agenda
Bethany Beach
The Bethany Beach Budget and Finance Committee will meet Friday, Nov. 4, at 1 p.m. at the town hall. The meeting is the committee’s prescribed mid-year meeting to analyze the current state of the annual budget.
Selbyville
The Selbyville Town Council will meet on Monday, Nov. 7, at 7 p.m., for its regular monthly meeting at the town hall.
Frankford
The Frankford Town Council will meet on Monday, Nov. 7, at 7 p.m., for its regular monthly meeting at the town hall.
Fenwick Island
• The Fenwick Island Beautification Committee will meet on Monday, Nov. 7, at 9 a.m. at the town hall. The agenda for the meeting includes consideration of a design for possible banners that would decorate the town’s utility poles.
• Fenwick Island will host a two-hour follow-up meeting for the Your Town development workshop on Friday, Nov. 4, at 7 p.m. in the town hall. All residents, property owners, municipal and county officials and businesspeople are encouraged to attend and give input on a roadmap for the county’s future.
Sussex County Council
The Sussex County Council will meet Tuesday, Nov. 8, at 6:30 p.m. in the County Council Chambers of the County Administrative Office Building in Georgetown. Agenda items include:
• An ordinance to add a requirement that all AR-1 cluster developments be located within a development district as shown on the adopted comprehensive plan;
• Consideration of grants for: University of Delaware College of Agriculture for $215,782; Easter Seals for $250,000; Rehoboth Beach Main Street’s Equity Dinner; Bethany Beach bandstand entertainment; Delaware Hospice; Mothers Against Drunk Driving; Greater Georgetown Chamber of Commerce for repairs to the Santa House; and revenue sharing regarding local law enforcement funding requests;
• Wastewater agreements for The Retreat, Phase 1-B, and B. Bayview Landing, Phase II;
• Amendments to sheriff’s fees;
• Two ordinance amendments relating to appeals and to fees for subdivisions; and
• Further consideration of a conditional use for Canal Place LLC.
Sussex County Planning & Zoning
The Sussex County Planning and Zoning Commission will meet Wednesday, Nov. 9, at 3 p.m. for a special meeting in the County Council Chambers of the County Administrative Office Building in Georgetown. Agenda items include:
• Consideration of a revised preliminary plan for Bayside, off Route 54 near Fenwick Island;
• Consideration of a site plan for a conditional use by 84 Lumber, on Route 26 in Clarksville;
• Consideration of a preliminary site plan for St. Ann’s Parish of the Catholic Diocese, on Route 17;
• Consideration of a site plan for Quality Upholstery & Canvas Shop, on Road 370; and
• Consideration of a time extension for the conditional use of Elton and Donna Murray.
