Selbyville considers multiple issues
The Selbyville Town Council has approved — again — a resolution for an $850,000 bond for water and sewer system improvements, based on votes in 2000 and subsequent years. The re-approval of the council resolution was needed due to some minor changes in languages from when it was passed at the council’s November meeting. Council members voted unanimously (5-0) to approve the amended resolution at their Dec. 5 meeting.

County eyes possible changes to clusters
There seems a consensus on Sussex County Council that the Cluster Development Ordinance (enacted August 2004) may have a few loopholes that need closing. The Agenda

New players give Lady Indians optimism
Indian River girls’ varsity basketball has undergone major changes. Four of last year’s starting five have graduated or didn’t return to the team and Sommer Chorman has replaced Steve Persolio as the head coach. New players and a fresh perspective could be just what the Lady Indians need to build a program worthy of competing in the Southern Henlopen Conference.

Grapplers look forward to getting on the mats
The Indian River wrestling program made their big move last season. They netted two all-state wrestlers (D.J. Singleterry/Andy Bokinsky) and two state qualifiers (Mike Willis/ Perry Townsend) and Head Coach Jeff Windish anticipates similar results this year due to an outstanding nucleus of experienced wrestlers and quality depth at each weight class.
