Frank Swainey Bennet Sr., 78
Frank Swainey Bennet Sr., 78, of Millville, died at his home on Tuesday, Feb. 28. He owned and operated J.S. Bennett & Son Inc., which provided 24-hour wrecker service and truck rentals and leasing.
He was a founding member of the Southern Delaware Towing Association and an honorary member of the Millville Fire Company. He also served as a council member and mayor of the town of Millville in the 1960s. He was also a member of the Doric Masonic Lodge of Millville, the Tall Cedars of Lebanon and was a 32nd degree member of the Delware Consistory in Wilmington.
He is survived by his wife, Elva F. Bennet; two sons, Frank S. Bennett Jr. and Franklin S. Bennett; two daughters, Brenda Hodgeman and Suzette Powell; two sisters, Betty Evans and Gloria McCabe; nine grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.
A funeral service is scheduled for Friday, March 3 at 1 p.m. at St. George’s United Methodist Church in Clarksville, where friends may call after 11 a.m. Interment will be in the adjoining cemetery.

Sarah E. Savage, 83
Sarah E. Savage, 83, of Bishopville, Md., died at Peninsula Regional Medical Center on Sunday, Feb. 26. She was a homemaker.
She loved caring for her great grandchildren and was a member of Wilson United Methodist Church in Bishopville.
She is survived by her husband, Elton C. Savage; daughter, Wanda K. Taylor; two granddaughters, Kristal Baker and Michelle Taylor; four great grandchildren, Chase and Bryce Baker and Wesley and Cody Hudson. She was preceded in death by a son, Ronald C. Savage; two brothers, George Williams and Rowen Williams; and a sister, Ruth Tingle.
Funeral services were scheduled for Thursday, March 2 at Hastings Funeral Home in Selbyville. Internment will be in Bishopville Cemetery in Bishopville.

Bruce Clark Bauer, 69
Bruce Clark Bauer, 69, of Selbyville, formerly of Upper Marlboro, Md., died at Peninsula Regional Medical Center on Sunday, Feb. 26. He was a civil engineer with the Veterans Administration and a Korean War Veteran.
He is survived by his wife, Brenda P. Bauer; two sons, Todd Bauer and Keith Bauer; two daughters, Julie Bauer and Kelly Wood; three brothers, Harold Bauer, Emerson Bealer and Dennis Bealer; and six grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son, Brent Bauer.
A funeral service is scheduled for Saturday, March 4 at 5 p.m. at Hastings Funeral Home in Selbyville where friends may call from 3 to 5 p.m.

John D. Fitzpatrick, Sr., 80
John D. Fitzpatrick, Sr., 80, of Frankford, formerly of Baltimore, Md., died at Coastal Hospice by the Lake on Wednesday, Feb. 22. He had been a sheet metal worker for many years and was a Navy veteran of WWII.
He is survived by one son, John D. Fitzpatrick; one daughter, Catherine T. Fornwalt; and three bothers, “Reds” Fitzpatrick, Cornelius Fitzpatrick and Joseph Fitzpatrick. He was preceded in death by his wife, Doris M. Fitzpatrick.
Funeral services were scheduled for Tuesday, Feb. 28 at noon, with internment at Parkwood Cemetery in Baltimore, Md.

John F. Morris, Sr., 69
John F. Morris, Sr. 69, of Selbyville, formerly of Philadelphia, Pa., died at his home on Wednesday, Feb. 22. He was a truck driver for many years.
He was a member of St. Ann’s Catholic Church, Bethany Beach.
He is survived by his wife, Bernice Morris; three sons, John Morris, Jr., David Morris and James Morris; one daughter, Dana Bowman; one brother, Edward Morris; seven grandchildren and three step-grandchildren.
A memorial service was scheduled for Saturday, Feb. 25 at 11 a.m.

Arthur Lee Clark, 67
Arthur Lee Clark, 67, of Dagsboro, died at Kent General Hospital on February 28. He was a truck driver.
He was a member of the Abate Motorcycle Club, Loyal Order of the Moose, in Dover, the American Legion and he served in the National Guard.
He is survived by two sons, Wm. James Clark and Dennis Lee Clark; one sister, Florence Gray; six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by one daughter, Betty Ann Clark in 1962; one brother, Andrew Wolford; and two sisters, Roberta Gray and Bessie Kingham.
Funeral services are scheduled for Saturday, March 4 at 1 p.m. at Watson Funeral Home, with viewing from noon to 1 p.m. Internment will be in Millsboro Cemetery.
