Pauline Williams Sturgis, 91
Pauline Williams Sturgis, 91, of Selbyville, died at Atlantic General Hospital on Thursday, March 2.
She was a member of Zoar United Methodist Church in Selbyville and attended faithfully until her health started to fail. She belonged to the United Methodist Women of the Church and was willing to serve in whatever capacity she was needed.
She is survived by a sister-in-law, Mary A. Williams, a host of nieces and nephews and by her extended family Peggy Steele and Bessie Mitchell. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John Sturgis, three brothers and three sisters.
Services were scheduled for Thursday, March 9, at Zoar United Methodist Church with internment at Union Wesley United Methodist Church Cemetery.
Carole W. Calhoun, 65
Carole W. Calhoun, 65, of Dagsboro, died at Peninsula Regional Medical Center on Saturday, March 4. She was the industrial nurse at Townsend’s Inc., Millsboro, until retirement years 15 ago.
She was a member of the Eastern Star, Millville. She was a loving mother and grandmother.
She is survived by two sons, Dean Hitch and Blake Hitch; two sisters, Elizabeth Parcels and Winfred Boucher; and two grandchildren, Kristy Millspaw and Ian Hitch. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Richard W. Calhoun, in 2002.
Graveside services were scheduled for Wednesday, March 8, at St. George’s Church Cemetery in Clarksville.
