Barbara A. Truitt, 70
Barbara A. Truitt, 70, of Frankford, died at home on Wednesday, March 29, 2006. She was a homemaker.
She was a member and secretary of the Delaware Mobile Surf Fisherman. She was also a member of Frankford United Methodist Church.
She is survived by two children, Jesse W. Truitt III and Donald Lee Truitt; four grandchildren, Brittany, Blakelyn, Travis and Gavin. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Dewitt Truitt, in 1971 and a daughter, Donna, in 2002.
Funeral services were scheduled for Saturday, April 1, at the Frankford Chapel of Melson Funeral Services, Thatcher Street, Frankford, with internment in Millsboro Cemetery.

Carmela Mazzalonga, 89
Carmela Mazzalonga, 89, of Millsboro died at home on Friday March 31, 2006. She was a homemaker.
She was a member of Mary Mother of Peace Catholic Church in Oak Orchard; Order of the Sons of Italy in America; and the Italian Heritage Association. She loved corresponding, singing and reading.
She is survived by three daughters, Lucille Wallo, Mary Jane Donato and Irene Gianesses; 10 grandchildren, John, Stephen, Lori and Thomas Wallo; Paula Perez; Teressa Smith, Ralph Martino, Louis Martino, Janette Ingrassia and Alexandra Gianesses; 12 great-grandchildren, Stephanie and John Wallo, Elyse Rivera, Christoper Perez, Samantha and Rebecca Smith, Ashley and Jason Martino, Jack Swihart, Salvatore and Michael Ingrassia, and Blake Wallo; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband, Louis Mazzalonga, in 1978; and five brothers and two sisters.
A Mass of Christian Burial was scheduled for Tuesday April 4, at 11 a.m. in Mary Mother of Peace Catholic Church, Oak Orchard with internment in Henlopen Memorial Park near Milton.
Derek J. Hone, 62
Derek J. Hone, 62, of Georgetown died at home on Monday, April 3, 2006. He was a retired display manager for J.C. Penny for 42 years.
He was an avid stamp collector, and loved gardening and working outside. He was also a volunteer at Camp Rehoboth.
He is survived by one son, Gregory Scott Hine, and one daughter, Cynthia Nichole McDougall; a partner, Bruce Mead; one sister, Jacqueline White; two grandchildren, Danielle and Tyler McDougall; and his beloved pets, Blackie and Slick. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral services were private with internment at Union Cemetery, Georgetown.

John H. Byrum, 84
John H. Byrum, 84, of Roxana, died at Atlantic General Hospital on Thursday, March 30, 2006. He had been a self-employed painter for many years and was a member of the Salem United Methodist Church in Selbyville. He was a World War II veteran of the Army.
He is survived by his wife, Lena B. Byrum; two daughters, Diane Brasure and Deborah Hains; one brother, Robert Bryum; two sisters, Gertrude Ward and Myrtle Norman; three grandchildren, Chris Brasure, Tami Brasure Collins and John Carpenter; and five great-grandchildren, Brittany Carpenter, Dylon Carpenter, Allisa Carpenter, Hannah Brasure and Caleb Collins. He was preceded in death by a brother, William Byrum, and a sister, Helen Jerigan.
Funeral services were scheduled for Sunday, April 2, at Hastings Funeral Home in Selbyville with internment in Roxana Cemetery.

Mildred Wells, 85
Mildred Wells, 85, of Millsboro, died at home on Sunday, April 2, 2006. She was a customer services representative for Southeast National Bank in Linwood, Pa, retiring in 1983 after 27 years of service.
She attended the Community Church of Oak Orchard. She loved to cook, work puzzles and crochet.
She is survived by one brother, Robert T. Parker, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents.
Funeral services were scheduled for Saturday, April 8, at 11 a.m. at Watson Funeral Home, 211 Washington Street, Millsboro, where friends may call one hour prior, with internment at Bethel United Methodist Church Cemetery, Lewes.
