Johnnie M. Beebe, 69
Johnnie M. Beebe, 69, of Georgetown, died at home on Monday, April 3, 2006. He was retired from Forest Oak School District, where he worked in the maintenance department.
He was a member of AM Vets, Post 2, Millsboro; American Legion Post 24, Benevolent Protective Order of Elks Lodge in Selbyville. He was a diehard Eagles and Phillies fan. He loved fishing and a good cigar or a cold beer. “He was one helluva guy and a great brother.” He was a devoted lover of animals and he loved his dogs: Lindsay, Jackie, Gracie and Rosie; his cat, Cherokee; and his parakeet, Rachel.
He is survived by his sister, Rose M. Gerace; two brothers, Lester Beebe and Jim Beebe, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services and internment will be private.
Elaina Fritzinger, newborn
Elaina Fritzinger, newborn, of Millsboro, died at Beebe Medical Center on Tuesday, April 4.
She is survived by her parents, Brian Fritzinger and Hellen Leon; three sisters, Tiffany, Melissa and Briannah; one brother, Joey; grandparents June Fritzinger and Maria and Edgardo Leon.
Funeral services will be private.
Norman McGinnis, 68
Norman McGinnis, 68 of Millsboro, died at home on Wednesday, April 5, 2006. He was a retired plant engineer for ATC Automatic Timing Controls, King of Prussia, Pa.
He was the president of Magnolia Meadows Home Owners Association in Millsboro, and a member of the Cape Henlopen Elks Lodge, Lewes. He will be missed by all, friends said.
He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Florence McHugh McGinnis; one son, John McGinnis, and one daughter, Mary Ellen Leonard; and a granddaughter, Kylee.
Funeral services were scheduled for April 9 at Watson Funeral Home, 211 Washington Street, Millsboro. Internment is private.

Kenneth J. Pennell, 56
Kenneth J. Pennell, 56, of Millsboro died at Beebe Medical Center on Thursday, April 6, 2006. He was a self-employed welder.
He was a member of the Delaware Bowlers Association. His favorite things to do were to work and bowl.
He is survived by three daughters, Loni Pennell, Melissa Hologhworst and Tish Lockwood; two brothers, Joseph Pennell and Frank Pennell; two sisters, Patricia Allen and Kathy Thomas; and seven grandchildren.
Funeral services were scheduled for April 11 at Watson Funeral Home, 211 Washington Street, Milllsboro with internment at Carey’s Cemetery, Millsboro.
Ruth M. Watson, 79,
Ruth M. Watson, 79, of Bethany Beach and Alexandria, Va., died at her home in Bethany Beach on Thursday, April 6. She was a graduate of Middlebury College and attended the University of Michigan Law School where she met her husband of 56 years, George W. Watson.
She was a member of St. Martha’s Episcopal Church in Bethany Beach, where she was active as a volunteer in the Prison and AIDS Ministries of that church’s outreach ministries; served as a lay reader at St. Martha’s; was a long-time resident of the Mount Vernon area of Alexandria, Va., where she was an active participant in a variety of community services; was the founder and first president of what is now known as the Mount Vernon-Lee Enterprises Inc., a non-profit organization providing services to adult mentally challenged persons, which serves several hundred clients in the Mount Vernon-Lee area; was a former president of the Stratford Women’s Club; a founding member and former Junior Warden of St. Aidan’s Episcopal Church, Alexandria, Va., where she also served as the first president of the St. Aidan’s Day School. For many years she was a volunteer in the Alexandria Meals on Wheels program and also served on the Board of the Stratford Landing Citizen’s Association. She was a skilled needlework woman who was a long time member of Nellie’s Needlers at Woodlawn Plantation, Va., teaching needlework and knitting for many years to residents of Virginia and Delaware.
She is survived by her husband, George W. Watson; two sons, Daniel N. Watson and Thomas M. Watson; two daughters, Linda R.W. Macari and RoseMary Watson; a sister, Patricia Reardon; a brother William M. Murphy; and five grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, G. William Watson, in 1994.
Funeral services were scheduled for April 12 at St. Aidan’s Episcopal Church, with interment at the Memorial Garden at St. Aidan’s.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be sent to either St. Martha’s Episcopal Church or St. Aidan’s Episcopal Church.
Gary Lee Sagers, 52
Gary Lee Sagers, 52, of Dagsboro died at Beebe Medical Center on Thursday April 6, 2006. He was a millwright and former owner of Sandy Cove Campground in Ocean View.
Gary loved to work on his computer, enjoyed carpentry, reading, but most importantly was a loving and devoted husband and father.
He is survived by his loving wife of 28 years Deborah M. (Cary) Sagers; his mother and step-father, Esther and Russell McCallin; two daughters, Katie Elizabeth and Colleen Marie Sagers; two brothers, Kevin and Keith Sagers; two sisters, Diane Moses and Lisa Greenfield; six nieces and nephews, Scott Craiger, Adam and Alexa Greenfield, Erin Sagers, Heather Salois and Alyssia Henry; and best friends Leonard and Carol Floyd.
A memorial service was scheduled for April 11, at the Community Lutheran Church, Omar Rd., Frankford.

Winifred E. Davis, 87
Winifred E. Davis, 87, of Frankford, formerly of Pennsauken, N.J., died at the Harrison House in Georgetown on Friday April 7, 2006.
She was a member of the Roxana Methodist Church, Eastern Star and the Indian River Senior Center. She is survived by her loving husband of 65 years, Gilbert Davis; five children, James G. Davis, John W. Davis, Donald R. Davis, Nancy Davis-Kudatzky and Richard L. Davis; and 13 grandchildren.
Funeral services were scheduled for April 11, at the Frankford Chapel of Melson Funeral Services, Thatcher St., Frankford, with internment at Mariner’s Bethel Cemetery in Ocean View.

Oscar Edward ‘Sport’ Harmon, Jr., 69
Oscar Edward “Sport” Harmon, Jr., 69, of Oak Orchard, died at home on Friday, April 7, 2006. He was an auto body specialist for Sharpless in Strafford, Pa.
He is survived by one son, Lamont Clark; three daughters, Lisa Harmon, Linda Harmon and Angela Harmon; one brother, Edward Harmon; four sisters, Carrie Davis, Shirley Shock, Constance Baker and Ardith Mosley; five grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
Funeral services were scheduled for April 13 at Watson Funeral Home, 211 Washington Street, Millsboro, with internment at Indian Mission Church Cemetery, Millsboro.

Kielee Michelle Lewis, 25
Kielee Michelle Lewis, 25 of Parsonsburg, Md., died Saturday, April 8, 2006. She was a practical nurse for the Angel Network.
She loved taking care of people, especially the elderly and was a devoted mother.
She is survived by her father and his wife, William and Janice Lewis; a son, Dustin Lewis; a brother, Bobby Newman; and two sisters, Chelsea and Amanda Newman.
Funeral services were scheduled for April 12 at the Frankford Chapel of Melson Funeral Services, Thatcher Street, Frankford, with internment at Mariner’s Bethel Cemetery, Ocean View.
Elizabeth Ellen Burton Smith, 97
Elizabeth Ellen Burton Smith, 97, of Millsboro, died at Green Valley Terrace, Millsboro on Saturday, April 8, 2006. She was a self-employed cook.
She was deeply involved in the church throughout her life. She served in many organizations in the church. She was the last surviving original member of the United Gospel Choir and Burton Sisters Singers in Millsboro. She traveled all over the Eastern Shore, performing.
She is survived by one son, Voyd Harmon, and one daughter, Vanessa Smith; eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Dave Harmon and Edward Smith. She was also preceded in death by two sons, Sylvester Harmon and Cornelius Harmon; and two daughters, Grace Barnhill and Charlotte Burton.
Funeral services were scheduled for Saturday, April 15, at noon at Harmony United Methodist Church, Route 24, Millsboro, where friends may call an hour prior, with internment at Harmony United Methodist Church, Millsboro.
