Ocean View
• The town will hold its monthly Board of Adjustments hearing at 6 p.m. on Thursday, April 20, at town hall. The board will review and application submitted by John C. McMillan for a variance to construct a dwelling within the 25 foot wetlands buffer on a property located at 4 Tingle Street. The board will then hear an appeal from the Reserves Development Corporation on three decisions made by town officials. The appeal will be regarding Rupert Smith’s property on Woodland Avenue.
• The town of Ocean View will hold its monthly Planning and Zoning Commission meeting at 7 p.m. on Thursday, April 20, at town hall. Commissioners will review a site plan submitted by local restaurateur Matthew James Haley requesting a permit to serve alcohol to seated patrons in an outdoor designated area at 29 F Atlantic Avenue, at NorthEast Seafood Kitchen.
Bethany Beach
• Bethany Beach Town Hall will be closed on Friday, April 14, in honor of Good Friday.
• The Bethany Beach Charter and Ordinance Review Committee (CORC) will meet on Thursday, April 20, at 2 p.m. at the town hall. The agenda for the meeting includes: continued review and discussion of Chapter 238, with Public Works Supervisor Brett Warner, regarding Article V Drainage; Article VI Construction and Maintenance of the System; and Article VII (formerly Article VIII) General Provisions. Also on the agenda are proposed changes to the Town Code, regarding issuance of a building permit, days construction is permitted and lot requirements for private and public lands. The committee will also begin discussion of possible porous surface requirements for driveways and walkways, and receive an update on the status of proposed changes to organization of the town codebook.
Fenwick Island
The Fenwick Island Town Manager Search Committee will meet on Monday, April 17, at 3 p.m. in the town hall. The agenda for the meeting may include adjourning to executive session for discussion of personnel matters.
