C. Wilson Hickman, 83
C. Wilson Hickman, 83, of Tallahassee, Fla., formerly of Selbyville, died at home on Saturday, April 22, 2006. He had owned and operated Wilson’s Amoco on 44th Street in Ocean City for 20 years.
He was a member of Zion United Methodist Church, near Bishopville.
He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Elizabeth Godwin Hickman; one daughter, Durene E. Gilbert, and her husband, Terry; one granddaughter, Tyler Gilbert; one brother, Darwin Hickman, and his wife, Elizabeth; sister-in-law, Vivian Hickman; three nieces, Rita Taylor and her husband Buzz, Lois Wells and her husband Rick, and Dixie Lee Cole and her husband Allen; and 16 grand-nieces and -nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Louis J. Hickman.
Funeral services were scheduled for Friday, April 28, at 1 p.m. at Hastings Funeral home in Selbyville, where friends may call one hour before the service. Internment is at Bishopville Cemetery, Bishopville, Md.

Norman J. Weinelt Sr., 75
Norman J. Weinelt Sr., 75, of Selbyville, formerly of Pasadena, Md., died at home on Wednesday, April 19, 2006. He had been a financial manager for Westinghouse for many years.
He was a member of the National Rifle Association and was a Korean War veteran of the Air Force.
He is survived by his wife, Mary E. Weinelt; one son, Norman J. Weinelt and his wife Vivian; one daughter, Norma A. Pulling and her husband Wayne; and one grandson, Thomas E. Peters III. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Candace J. Weinelt, in 1972.
Funeral services were scheduled for April 23 at Hastings Funeral Home in Selbyville with internment at Mt. Olive Cemetery, Camden.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to the American Cancer Society, PO Box 163, Salisbury, MD 21803-0163.
Anna Louise Hearn, 86
Anna Louise Hearn, 86, of Berlin, Md., formerly of Salisbury, Md., died at Friendship House in Berlin on Monday, April 17, 2006. She had been a secretary for Edgewood Pipe and Block Co. for many years and was administrator for the John P. Parson’s Home-Salisbury before retiring.
She had attended Faith Community Church in Salisbury for many years and for the last several years she attended Friendship United Methodist Church in Berlin.
She is survived by one daughter-in-law, Louise T. Lynch; two grandchildren, Diane Green and her husband Jeff and Susan Jones and her husband Lloyd C. Jones III; four great-grandchildren, Brian and Justin Green, and Lindsay and Allison Jones; one brother, Ralph Cathell and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, William T. Lynch, in 2003, a brother, Kerbin Cathell, and two sisters, Ella Hudson and Violet Jones.
Graveside funeral services were scheduled for April 21 at St. Stephens Cemetery in Delmar.

Mary E. Moore, 91
Mary E. Moore, 91, died at Berlin Nursing Home on Thursday, April 20, 2006 at Berlin Nursing Home in Berlin, Md. She was a retired line processor in the packaging dept. for Townsend’s Inc.
She is survived by one son, Arnold J. Moore; two grandchildren, Arnold K. Moore and Donna Sue Eure; four great-grandchildren, Kenny Moore, Montana Moore, B.J. Jones and Corey Jones. She was preceded in death by her husband, John J. Moore, in 1984 and four brothers, George, Phillip, Harvey R. and Henry B. Johnson, and seven sisters, Elsie Rust, Miranda Betts, Mattie Johnson, Blanche Donoway, Edith Ellingsworth, Sallie Bronson and Helen Murray.
Funeral services were scheduled for April 24 at Carey’s Cemetery, Millsboro with internment on site.
Albert E. ‘Gene’ Brewington Sr., 69
Albert E. “Gene” Brewington Sr., 69, of Georgetown, died at home on Wednesday, April 19, 2006. He was a splicing technician for 32 years, retiring in 1998 from Bell Atlantic Verizon.
He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Rosalie W. Brewington, three daughters, Sharon B. Clark and husband Jeffrey, Terri B. Challman and husband Jay, Lori B. Paccone and husband Edward, one son Albert E. Brewington Jr. and wife Karen; eight grandchildren, Robert Faucett Jr., Tara Faucett, Tyler Clark., R.I. Bunting, Ashley Bunting Laris, Stacy Challman, Taylor Brewington, and Jake Brewington; three great-grandchildren, Aden Laris, Landen Laris and Adam Shaub; three brothers, George E. Brewington Jr. and wife Marion, Kenneth Brewington and wife Debbie, Paul Brewington; five sisters, Anna Lee Lewis and husband Morris, Josephine Adams and husband Fred, June Joseph and husband Ronald, Helen Banks and Marie DeCelles.
Funeral services were scheduled for Apri1 24 at Watson Funeral Home, 211 Washington St., Millsboro, with internment at Millsboro Cemetery, Millsboro.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be sent to the Lewes Church of Christ Building Fund 14904 Coastal Hwy., Milton, DE 19968.
Linford Udell Fisher, 76
Linford Udell Fisher, 76, died in Smyrna on Saturday, April 22, 2006. He was a retired self-employed handyman.
He is survived by one daughter, Lisa Fisher; two brothers, Edward L. and wife Wanda, and George L. Jr. and wife Shirley; three grandchildren, Mike, Cody and Kaylee. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son Mike Fisher in 2005.
Funeral services were scheduled to be private with internment at Redmen’s Cemetery in Dagsboro.
Carl E. Beigler, 74
Carl E. Beigler, 74, of Lewes, formerly of North Wales, Pa., died at Delmar Nursing and Rehabilitation Center on Wednesday, April 19, 2006. He was an auto mechanic for 45 years, retiring in 1994.
He is survived by his wife D. Patricia Armstrong Beigler; four sons, Carl E. “Dusty” Beigler, II, Shawn M. and wife Teresa Beigler, John E.A. and wife Shannon, Daniel J. Beigler; one daughter Geri Beigler; adopted son, Michael Davis; two brothers, Earl F. Beigler and Joseph H. Beigler; one sister, Lola Nees; 13 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Funeral services are scheduled to be private, with internment at Dagsboro Redmen’s Cemetery, Dagsboro.

Marian Rae Hill, 87
Marian Rae Hill of Lewes passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Wednesday April 19, 2006, in Lewes Convalescent Center. She was 87.
Hill was born on May 18, 1918, to the late Raymond E. and Marian (Joseph) Wilson. She was a 1938 graduate of Beebe School of Nursing, a member of St. Peter’s Episcopal Church in Lewes and a member of the alter guild. Marian was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother raising her family in the Lewes area. After raising her family she returned back to her nursing career at Beebe Hospital before her retirement.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her loving husband Henry F. “Hilly” Hill in 2005; a daughter, Carol Hill Bader, in 2000; two brothers, Howard and Ronnie Wilson; a sister, Helen Kling. She is survived by a daughter, Sharon H. Melson, and her husband A. Douglas; a son, Dr. William T. Hill, and his wife Caroline; two brothers, Raymond and Wayne Wilson; four grandchildren, Vollie D. Melson, Jennifer M. Athey, Frank and Michael Hill; and a great-granddaughter, Page Elizabeth Athey.
A funeral service was to be held on Monday, April 24, at noon at the Long Neck Chapel of Melson Funeral Services, Long Neck Rd., Millsboro, where friends were to call an hour before. Interment was to be in St. Peter’s Cemetery, Pilottown Road, in Lewes. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions in Hill’s name to Delaware Hospice Southern Division, 20167 Office Circle, Georgetown, DE 19947.
