Mary Claire Barker Croal, 63
Mary Claire Barker Croal, 63, of Purcellville, Va., died at Loudoun Hospital Center on Friday, April 28, 2006. She was a member of the National Organization for Women and the Loudon County Democratic Party.
She is survived by her husband, William “Bill” Croal; two daughters, Lori Bennett and Teri Abrahams; sister Sue Maday; five grandchildren, and four nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her brother, Robert Barker.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, May 6, from 3 to 6 p.m. at the Old Waterford School located on High Street in Waterford, Va.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be sent to the Loudon Abused Women’s Shelter, 105 Market Street, Leesburg, VA, 20176.
Glenn R. Daughters, 76, of Dagsboro, died at Green Valley Terrace in Millsboro on Wednesday, April 26, 2006. He was a retired engineer with Washington Adventist Hospital in Tacoma Park, Md.
He was a member of the Sussex Central Seventh Day Adventist Church of Georgetown, and was an Air Force Veteran. Daughters was a life member of the Disabled American Veterans, American Legion, Veterans of Foreign Wars and AARP. His hobbies were church work, gardening and listening to music.
He was survived by his wife of 45 years, Eileen D.P. Daughters; son, Larry Daughters; two daughters, Connie Perdomo Cleont and Sharon Howle; one brother, Ralph Daughters; six grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Kenneth and Marguerite Andrus Daughters.
Funeral services were scheduled for May 1 at Watson Funeral Home in Millsboro.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions be made to Sussex Central Seventh Day Adventist Church Building Fund, 22518 Gravel Hill Road, Georgetown, DE 19947.
