Millville

A public hearing will be held on Tuesday, June 13, at 7:30 p.m., at the Millville town hall, 11 Club House Road, to: (1) consider the application of Pearl Robinson for rezoning of parcel No. 1-34-12.00-343.00 (1.79 acres on Route 26) from R-Residential to Commercial, and (2) consider the application of Martin and Rosemary Sullivan for rezoning of parcel No. 1-34-12.00-358.00 (.68 acres at 504 Atlantic Ave.) from R-Residential to C-Commercial. All interested parties are urged to attend. Text, maps and other documents relating to the applications may be examined by interested parties at the public hearing. If unable to attend the public hearing, written comments will be accepted if received prior to the hearing. The town’s regular monthly meeting of town council will follow immediately after the public hearing.

South Bethany

The South Bethany Town Council will hold its regular monthly meeting for June on Friday, June 9, at 7 p.m. at the town hall. The agenda for the meeting includes second reading of: (1) Ordinance 136-06, amending Chapter 1, General Provisions, to make that provision of the town code more consistent with a recently enacted amendment to the town charter authorizing the town to collect voluntary assessments from those pleading guilty to violations of town code prior to their court dates; and (2) Ordinance 137-06, amending Chapter 7, Code of Conduct for Town Employees, Officers and Officials, to rescind the chapter in its entirety, in favor of the town using the state ethics board.

Ocean View

• The town of Ocean View will hold a committee meeting at 3 p.m. Friday in the town hall meeting room to discuss the new public works building project.

• Ocean View will hold its monthly board of adjustment hearing at 6 p.m. on Thursday, June 15, in the town hall meeting room. The will hear an amended application submitted by John C. McMillan for variances to permit the construction of a dwelling that will encroach on the front and side setbacks and the 25-foot wetlands buffer zone at 4 Tingle Street.

• Ocean View will hold its monthly planning and zoning commission meeting at 7 p.m. on Thursday, June 15, in the town hall meeting room. The commissioners will review a subdivision application and final site plan submitted by Steven Collazuol to permit the subdivision of 2.95 acres into six lots to permit the construction of six single-family homes at 34 Woodland Avenue and 2, 4, 6 and 8 Blue Heron Way.

Fenwick Island

The Fenwick Island Town Council’s workshop-without-agenda (WWA) will be held on Saturday, June 10, at 9:30 a.m. at the town hall.

Bethany Beach

• The Bethany Beach Volunteer Fire Company will host an open house for the public at its new fire station next to Bethany Beach Town Hall on Sunday, June 11, from 1 to 4 p.m. The focus of the event will also include information on public safety, and the company will offer refreshments and a pig roast.

• The Bethany Beach Cultural and Historical Affairs Committee will meet on Monday, June 12, at 1 p.m. at the town hall. The agenda for the meeting includes updates on the museum, walking trail markers and the oral history project.

• The Bethany Beach Architectural Guideline Design Committee for the C-1 and C-2 Districts (AGDC) will meet on Tuesday, June 13, at 10 a.m. in the town hall, to continue work on draft architectural guidelines and related zoning amendments for the commercial districts.

• Bethany Beach’s Charter and Ordinance Review Committee (CORC) will meet on Thursday, June 15, at 2 p.m. at the town hall.
