James L. Smith, 75
James L. Smith, 75, of Dagsboro, formerly of Potomac, Md., died in Georgetown on Monday, July 10, 2006. He was a retired deputy administrator for the Packers and Stockyards Administration of the USDA with over 30 years of service.
He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Joan Sautter Smith; two daughters, Nancy Smith and Margaret Clifton and her husband, Don; and a granddaughter, Sarah Margaret Clifton.
A Mass of Christian Burial was scheduled for July 13, 2006, at St. Ann’s Catholic Church, Route 26, Bethany Beach. Internment will be at the Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Dagsboro.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to the Alzheimer’s Association of Delaware, 321 East 11th Street, Wilmington 19801.
Ethel M. Wilkerson, 87
Ethel M. Wilkerson, 87, of Selbyville, Del., died Monday, Aug. 14, 2006, at Peninsula Regional Medical Center, Salisbury, Md.
Wilkerson attended Millsboro Wesleyan Church. She loved to garden, read, crochet, and make quilts and afghans.
She is survived by her children, Donnie Wilkerson, Billie Wilkerson, David Wilkerson, Beth Wilkerson, Eddie Wilkerson and Cindy Wilkerson; eight grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence Wilkerson; son and his wife Ronald and Patricia Wilkerson; and grandchildren Donnie Wilkerson Jr., Ronald Wilkerson and Shawn Wilkerson.
A memorial service was scheduled for Friday, Aug. 18, 2006, at noon at Watson Funeral Home, 211 Washington Street, Millsboro, where friends may call one hour prior. Internment will be at Selbyville Redmen’s Cemetery, Selbyville, Del.

Mark W. Faulkner, 41
Mark W. Faulkner, 41, of Georgetown, Del., died Sunday, Aug. 13, 2006, at Nanticoke Memorial Hospital, Seaford.
Mark loved fishing and hunting. He was an avid bass fisherman; he fished in tournaments with his son Justin. He was a wonderful, caring son, husband and father, family members said.
He is survived by his mother, Marcia A. Faulkner; his wife, Sharon M. Faulkner, sons, Justin, Mark, and Sean Faulkner; grandchildren, Raylin and Sean; brother, Kurt Faulkner and wife Marcie; sister, Kathy Mays and husband Calhoun; nephews, Zachary Faulkner and Robbie Faulkner. He was preceded in death by his father, W.E. Faulkner.
A memorial services was scheduled for Wednesday, Aug. 16, 2006, at Watson Funeral Home, 211 Washington Street, Millsboro.

Stanley J. Babiarz Jr., 73
Stanley J. Babiarz Jr., 73, of Lewes, Del., died Saturday, Aug. 12, 2006, at Beebe Medical Center, Lewes.
Babiarz was a retired pharmacist in Wilmington; he moved to Lewes in 1994. He was a member of St. Judes the Apostle Roman Catholic Church, Lewes, Delaware. He had been a member of the Eagle Men’s Fraternity club, Lewes Senior Center. He loved bingo, cards, slots, fishing and playing the piano. “He was forever fun,” family members said.
He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Jean “Brick” Babiarz; children Celeste and Ronald Slacum, Mark Babiarz, Doreen Babiarz, Matt Babiarz and Gail Babiarz; one brother, Bolslaw Babiarz; grandchildren, Ashley, Sarah, Rebecca, Dale, Ian and Craig.
Funeral services were scheduled for Thursday, Aug. 17, 2006, at noon at Watson Funeral Home, 211 Washington Street, Millsboro. Internment will be at Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Millsboro, Del.

Sarah A. Tyler, 79
Sarah A. Tyler, 79, of Frankford, Del., died Thursday, Aug. 10, 2006, at Green Valley Terrace, Millsboro. Tyler was a missionary with her church. She loved to go to the Pyle Center and loved to go to church.
She is survived by her friends Mary and Roosevelt Middleton and her church family.
Funeral services were scheduled for Wednesday, Aug. 16, 2006, at 1 p.m. at Trinity Holiness Church, Delaware Avenue, Frankford. Internment will be at Zoar Golden Acres, Bishopville, Md.
Clifford A. Bell, 77
Clifford A. Bell, 77 of Georgetown, Del., died Tuesday, Aug. 8, 2006, at Beebe Medical Center, Lewes.
Bell was a graduate from State University of New York in Morrisville, N.Y., in 1951. He was a veteran of the Korean War. He loved the outdoors. He moved to the area in 1973 from Saginaw, Mich., to become manager at Vlasic in Millsboro, Del., and retired from there in 1992.
He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Nancy Bell; daughters, Barbara Bonner and Husband Duane, Kimberly B. Haynie and Husband Thomas; Nora R. Serman and Husband Kyle; Patricia B. Macklin; Katherine L. Bell; son, Michael A. Bell and wife Charlotte; sister, Jacquelyn Amor; four granddaughters, 11grandsons, and four great-grandsons.
