The Agenda
Bethany Beach
The Town of Bethany Beach will hold a bandstand dedication event on Sunday, Sept. 24, at 3 p.m. at the boardwalk bandstand. There will be a concert by the Delmarva Big Band, a performance of the original song “My Bethany” and a ribbon-cutting. The public is invited.
Fenwick Island
• The Fenwick Island Town Council will hold its monthly meeting on Friday, Sept. 22, at 3 p.m. at the town hall. The agenda for the meeting includes discussion and possible action on: the Planning Commission; final review and approval of IPA contract for comprehensive plan work; street signs; update on Pension Committee; town manager status report; Web site/bulletin board; and update on Board of Adjustment.
• The Fenwick Island Parks & Recreation/Beautification Committees will meet on Thursday, Sept. 28, at 2 p.m. in the town hall.
South Bethany
The South Bethany Town Council will host a special meeting/council workshop on Thursday, Sept. 28, at 7 p.m.
Ocean View
• The Ocean View Police Department and the Millville Volunteer Fire Company will present a Disaster Preparedness Workshop on Wednesday, Sept. 27, from 6 to 9 p.m. at the Millville Fire Company. Presentations will be made by the National Weather Service, Sussex County Emergency Operations Center, Delaware Department of Transportation, Delaware Animal Disaster Services, Communications Corps, Delaware Emergency Management Agency and the Ocean View Citizen Auxiliary Patrol. The seminar is free to the public. No advance registration is required, and all are recommended to attend.
• The Sept. 25 meeting on the progress of construction at the new police building has been rescheduled for Tuesday, Sept. 26, at 11 a.m. The meeting will be held at the construction trailer located at the site of the new police building, at 201 Central Avenue.
Millville

Dagsboro Town Council will hold its monthly meeting Monday, Sept. 25, at 7 p.m. The agenda for the meeting includes discussion of video game, television and electronic amusement machine use within restaurants in the Commercial District and newly proposed Town Center District. Also to be discussed are resolution to set a public hearing for an amended definition of height, the Highlands of Pepper Creek request and Comprehensive Plan implementation. The meeting will be held in Bethel Center on Clayton Street.
Indian River School District School Board
The Indian River School Board will hold its monthly meeting at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 26, at Indian River High School.
Sussex County Council
County Council will hold its regular weekly meeting at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 26, in council chambers in Georgetown.
