Elizabeth Anne Royle, 77
Elizabeth Anne Royle, 77, of Millsboro, Del., died Monday, Oct. 9, 2006, at Beebe Medical Center in Lewes.
She was an avid C-Span watcher. She also enjoyed reading and cooking. She was a NASCAR fan, with Dale Earnhart Jr. as her favorite driver.
She is survived by her children, Kendall and Kathleen Royle; Douglas Royle; Edward Royle; Donna and Tim Yerby; sister, Erma Barton; 13 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Royle, in 1970 and a daughter, Paula Teoli, in 2003.
Funeral services were scheduled for Oct. 13, 2006 at 11 a.m. at Watson Funeral Home, 211 Washington St., Millsboro, where friends may call one hour prior. Internment will be at St. Georges Cemetery, Clarksville.
Nicholas Sowa, 72
Nicholas Sowa, 72, of Millsboro, passed away Friday, Oct. 6, 2006, surrounded by his family, after a courageous fight with cancer.
He was born Oct. 12, 1933, in Sandy Run, Pa., the son of the late Sebastian and Mary Sowa. He moved to Newark, where he was employed and retired from Chrysler in 1983. He enjoyed the togetherness of his family, working in his garage and going to the casino with his children.
He is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Joan Sowa; his daughter Cindy and her husband Jack Yeager, daughter Sandra, daughter Karen and her husband Joe Kriczky, son Nick and his wife Kasey Sowa, daughter Lisa and her husband Chris Delgado; his grandchildren, Thomas, Jennifer, Tony, Eric, Brian, and Steven; great-grandchildren Kearsten, Lillian, Madisyn and Natalie.
Services will be private.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions in Nicholas’s memory to the Tunnell Cancer Center, Beebe Medical Center, 424 Savannah Rd, Lewes, DE. 19958.
Ralph M. Kline, 80
Ralph M. Kline, 80, of Pot-Nets Lakeside in Millsboro, formerly of Hamilton Square and Newark, N.J., passed away on Thursday, Oct. 5, 2006, at the Bayhealth Center in Dover.
Kline was born on May 7, 1926, in Ringtown, Pa., son of the late Carson and Hattie (Hauck) Kline. He was a retired millwright foreman. Kline was a veteran of World War II, serving in the U.S. Navy, and a member of the American Legion Post#28 in Oak Orchard.
He is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Dolores A. (Morgan) Kline; a sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Jacqueline and Bruce Doherty; a niece, Kelley Smith, and husband James; a nephew, Bruce Doherty, and wife Marlene; a nephew, Paul Kline, and wife Janice; a nephew, Robert Kline Jr., and wife Barbara; a niece, Claudia Kline; and an abundance of great-nieces and great-nephews.
A memorial service was scheduled for Saturday, Oct. 14, 2006 at 11 a.m. at the Long Neck Chapel of Melson Funeral Services, Long Neck Rd., Millsboro. Burial will be private.

Carolyn J. ‘Mammy’ Cannon, 57
Carolyn J. “Mammy” Cannon, 57, of Georgetown, died Thursday, Oct. 5, 2006, at Green Valley Terrace Nursing Home, Millsboro.
Cannon enjoyed cooking, yard sales, playing cards and being with family and friends. She was a fun-loving person. She was a member of the East New Market Holiness Church of East New Market, Md.
She is survived by her father, James H. Mitchell; husband, William M. Cannon; daughters, Thomasina Mitchell Kathy Cannon, and Sharon Johnson; brothers and sisters, Arthur Mitchell, Luther Mitchell, Mary Davis, Margaret Hopkins, Beverly Rickards, Hazel Dennis, Finisha Hopkins, and Faith Mitchell; 12 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her mother, Carrie Jane Best Mitchell.
Funeral services were scheduled for Wednesday, Oct. 11, 2006, at St. Johns 2nd Baptist Church Mt. Joy, near Millsboro, with internment on site.
Frank H. Mitchell, 88
Frank H. Mitchell, 88, of Lewes, Del., passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on Thursday, Oct. 5, 2006, at Beebe Medical Center in Lewes.
Mitchell was born in Laurel, Del, on Feb. 2, 1918, to the late Charles and Amelia (Massey) Mitchell. He was the farm manager for J.G. Townsends Jr. & Co. in Georgetown from 1940 to 1995. Mitchell was a loving and devoted family man.
Frank “Pop-Pop” Mitchell is survived by his loving wife of 64 years, Myrtle (Coverdale) Mitchell; sons, Marvin James Mitchell and F. Wayne Mitchell; three daughters, Joyce Elizabeth Blades, Doris Mae Mitchell and Joan Mitchell Reed; 11 grandchildren, Marvin James Mitchell Jr., Tricia Leigh Sutton, Frank Wayne Mitchell II, Kristin Lynne Joseph, Donald Rodney Evans IV, Robert Nathaniel Evans, Michelle Elizabeth Woods, Stephen Michael Bunting II, Ryan Mitchell Bunting, Bradford Elliot Reed, and Bryan Edward Reed; five great-grandchildren, Madison Elizabeth Mitchell, Natalie Nicole Evans, Gage Brian Joseph, Lydia Elizabeth Woods and Tyler Chase Mitchell; a brother Hallie Mitchell and a sister Doris Angstadt.
Funeral services were scheduled for Tuesday, Oct. 10, 2006, at the Long Neck Chapel of Melson Funeral Services, Long Neck Rd., Millsboro. Interment will be held at Henlopen Memorial Park near Milton.

Anna Louise Coursey, 92
Anna Louise Coursey, 92, of Lincoln, Del., died Wednesday, Oct. 4, 2006, at Green Valley Terrace Nursing Home, Millsboro.
Coursey was a very kind, loving and giving person. She attended Indian Mission United Methodist Church, Harbeson. She moved to the area in 2000 from New Jersey and the Philadelphia area.
She is survived by her sister, Hilda Mosley and nephew, Eugene and his wife Elizabeth Draine.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Aaron Coursey, in 1983.
Funeral services were scheduled for Monday, Oct. 9, 2006, at Watson Funeral Home, 211 Washington St., Millsboro, with internment at Christ’s Church Cemetery, Harbeson.
